Periodic Table of Elements v2.4 - Freeware Added on 9-Nov-2000
contains basic data about elements in five languages. Periodic Table of Elements visually shows the alter of physical conditions that occur with a alter of temperature. The language, speed of temperature alter, exchange of elements and scrolling of characteristics can be adjusted by the configuration file. This software comes with a calculating module for calculating mole mass compounds. Periodic Table of Elements translates text (with chemical symbols or without them) into mathematical terms and calculates them.
Periodic Table of the Elements v1.0.1 beta - Freeware Added on 26-Oct-1999
allows you to to find the physical and chemical info of each element in the periodic table. The software displays each element's name, symbol, atomic number, melting point, natural state, boiling point, and many more.
Prevaricator v1.04 - Freeware Added on 14-Nov-2000
is a combination voice stress analyzer and WAV file media player. Prevaricator performs real-time frequency spectral analysis on the playback of audio data. It is the software equivalent of the "Lie Detector" novelty items sold in specialty stores. Prevaricator's graphical user interface displays green for normal stress levels and red to indicate levels of stress. Prevaricator's features include: self-calibration of audio data; the ability to determine the minimum, maximum and average frequencies; and the ability to eliminate noise.
Qcad Schematics and PCB v12.5 - Demo Added on 14-May-2000
is a complete electronics design system consisting of schematic capture and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layout abilities. The schematic capture component features a flat and easy or complex hierarchical design, complete design rule checking ability, PCB netlist generation in all popular formats, EDIF and VHDL netlist generation (for simulation), PLD (Programmable Logic Device) support, and the ability to create Autocad DXF and Windows EMF files, and import all Orcad schematic designs and libraries. The PCB Layout component comes with a large PCB library with over 10,000 PCB parts; a specialized creation template for each class of PCB parts; interactive signal data input; automatic signal data input; interactive and automatic placement of elements and wire routing; the ability to use from 1 to 6 signal layers; through-hole and SMT component support; the ability to mount elements on both sides of the board; and support for both Imperial and Metric measuring systems, as well as all popular photo plotters (comprising Gerber) and numerically-controlled drill machines (comprising Excelon).
SPview v1.20 - 30-day Trial Added on 29-Nov-2000
is an integrated S-parameter toolset for Radio Frequency (RF) and microwave electronic engineering. Features of this software include: automatic data capture from Vector Network Analyzers (VNA's) via GPIB control; the ability to produce graphs using Smith, grid and polar charts with three marker types and dynamic pan and zoom; the ability to edit data in tabular and numeric forms as well as graphically; the ability to print charts or copy them into word processors for documentation; the ability to apply two-port mathematical features such as K-factor and power gain; the ability to create and convert several file types such as H,Y and Z parameters; renormalization of data to any impedance; and support for up to 99 port devices or files.
Transistor Substitution Database v2.01 - Shareware Added on 14-Jun-1998
provides a quick and easy cross-reference for replacement transistors. This is an easy to use software for electronic hobbyists and enthusiasts. To find a transistor cross reference just enter the device part number, click the "Lookup" button, and info about this part is presented. You can effortlessly add devices to the database.
Turbodiesel HTML v2.0 - Freeware Added on 14-Mar-2000
is a group of HTML files that show you how a diesel engine features. By clicking the software's buttons, you can alter the engine views to inside, outside, and transparent. You can also select between three different speeds, all with a real sounding diesel engine. The software works using your favorite Web browser.
3D FEM CAD Package v1.0 - Demo Added on 20-Aug-2000
allows you to to create 3D models of components that are subjected to various types of loadings, and obtain the stress distribution using FEM (Finite Element Method). You just specify the dimensions (width, breadth, and height ) of the boundary of the item to be analyzed, and enter the material properties and the number of node rows along each coordinate axis. The software allows you to alter the shape of the body by dragging the nodes or setting their coordinates manually; modify the properties of nodes and elements by selecting them with the mouse and changing the data in the properties column; and create holes in the body by clicking the "Remove" button. 3D FEM CAD Package enables you to set constraints and specify forces in all three directions at appropriate nodes; specify pressures acting on nodes of different faces; specify proper signs for pressures depending on the direction; obtain the stresses and node displacements; and show a plot of the stress distribution using FEM.
3D Protein Alignment v1.1 - 30-day Trial Added on 25-Jan-2000
is an easy to use, command-sequence software that allows you to to compare protein alignment of 3D structures in PDB (Brookhaven) format for computer modelling purposes and protein structure classification. The software allows you to determine the set of matched amino acids and the degree of 3D similarity between two proteins. The output is made of the 3D coordinates of the second protein, that are rotated and shifted to best fit the coordinates of the first protein. You can show and manipulate the stereo-picture of the final results using the built-in mirror stereo-glasses feature. In addition, the output comes with a linear representation of the 3D alignment, and a list of the structurally conservative regions that correspond to the given RMS deviations.
3DPAln v1.1 - 30-day Trial Added on 29-Dec-1999
is a command-sequence software that allows you to to compare the 3D structure of proteins. The input files (PDB format) can be any two Brookhaven files. 3DPAln enables you to perform the analysis of subunit contents in both files, and select the alignment for any two subunits from all the subunits contained in both files. The software does not require any sequence gomology or any previous assumption about 3D structure similarities of starting proteins. It can automatically determine the degree of 3D similarity. The output is made of the 3D coordinates of the second subunit rotated and shifted for a best fit with the coordinates of the first subunit. You can show and manipulate the stereoscopic picture of the starting structures and the final results for both proteins using mirror stereo-glasses. In addition, 3DPAln allows you to to create a second type of output: a linear representation of the 3D alignment, as well as a listing of the conservative regions of the structure that fit with the given Root Mean Square (RMS) deviations. Please note that the software also runs in Windows 3.1.
